Another blog by a home cook long on enthusiasm but short on skill (and with a shitty camera).
While they're not mother's milk marshmallows aren't so lame. I give you points for creativity. I do have a question - who cleans the stove? I ,too, am working my way to the bottom of the freezer. Amazing what's in there - mine is the old coffin type and there are spots that haven't been touched since last year.
lame maybe, but was it good????
Answer: No one. That's why it looks so cruddy. :) I do run the burner pans under the faucet now and then (no dishwasher here), but honestly, when they get too cruddy, I just replace them! For the marshmallows, I just roasted them until they got all droopy and pulled them away before they dripped. And yeah, they were pretty good, all things considered. I don't like marshmallow that much, but roasted and burnt, yeah, it worked for a quick sugar fix.
oh I haven't had tt for awhile, esp roasted over a nice flame.
Drool... so glad we're heading towards Winter here now. I can't wait to have a little bonfire in the back yard & have toasted marshmallows! ;)
Oh I have done this many a cold and rainy days with kids just to keep them happy. "Look kids let's pretend we are camping!" But it is a great treat esp. if there are graham crackers and chocolate in the house!
